Internships

The Duke Farms internship program is for new or emerging professionals interested in pursuing careers in conservation, natural resources, parks management, environmental education and other related fields. Internships are open to adults over 18 years of age, including recent graduates, experienced individuals and those looking to obtain new skills. Internships with Duke Farms provide education, training and practical work experience to prepare interns for a career in their respective field, while also gaining valuable skills such as communication, working with a team or cohort, problem-solving and non-profit professionalism.

Duke Farms is no longer accepting applications for 2023 internship positions.

Volunteering

In the fifteen years since its formation, the Duke Farms Volunteer Program has engaged hundreds of volunteers in tens of thousands of hours of work. The members of this community have helped our organization revitalize native habitat, grow food crops for both the Duke Farms’ café and donation, educate countless visitors, and care for the fragile residents of our renowned Orchid Range. Duke Farms is incredibly fortunate to have such an enthusiastic and dedicated crew stand beside us to help us fulfill our mission, and we are always excited to welcome more people into the Program!
