DESCRIPTION:Let’s look into unlikely relationships that occur at Duke Farms and learn about what symbiosis really looks like in nature.\n\n\nThere are many relationships among us that often go unnoticed. They can either be beneficial\, cause no difference\, or are harmful or deadly. The relationships that are most often talked about are animals with each other\, which are of course fun and interesting. But this class will also dive into the relationships between kingdoms and those small hidden creatures that run our world. Some topics explored will be lichen\, orchids and mycorrhizal fungi\, plants and birds\, and plants and insects. \n\n\nProgram Guidelines\nRegistration is required. Please let us know if you are no longer able to attend so your space can be offered to someone else. Cancellations received at least 48 hours in advance are eligible for a refund\, if applicable. Programs at Duke Farms are RAIN or SHINE\, but in the event of severe weather\, classes may be canceled. Email notice will be given as early as possible via email and refunds will be issued in the case of cancellations. \nWe provide reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities.
