SUMMARY:For Starters: Butterflies
DESCRIPTION:If “grey hairstreak” sounds like a bold style choice and a “question mark” is just that\, this is the class for you.\n\n\nAugust is the best time of year to learn about our butterflies in New Jersey. The weather is hot\, the sun is bright\, and the meadows are booming with blooming wildflowers. In this introductory class\, participants will walk through two different meadows to learn about and observe some of our most common native butterflies. One of our most well-known native butterflies\, the monarch\, will be making its journey south for the winter\, and if we’re lucky\, we’ll get the chance to spot them too! \nCheck out more upcoming classes in the For Starters series. \n\n\nProgram Guidelines\nRegistration is required. Please let us know if you are no longer able to attend so your space can be offered to someone else. Cancellations received at least 48 hours in advance are eligible for a refund\, if applicable. \nPrograms at Duke Farms are held rain or shine\, but in the event of severe weather\, classes may be canceled. Email notice will be given as early as possible via email and refunds will be issued in the case of cancellations. \nWe provide reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities.
