DESCRIPTION:The fourth and final class in our series for the conservation-curious.\n\n\nAre you interested in harvesting seeds but don’t know where to start? This class will explore how to harvest and grow your own seeds from native plants. Participants will get a behind-the-scenes look at Duke Farms’ own native plant nursery where seeds are harvested for propagation\, as well as the opportunity to take some seeds home. \n\n\nIn the Beginner’s Stewardship series: \n\nNative vs. Invasive Plant Workshop (Jul 11)\nVegetation Monitoring Workshop (Aug 8)\nPlant Survivability Workshop (Sep 12)\nNative Seed Harvesting Workshop (Oct 10)\n\n\n\nAccessibility\nDuke Farms is committed to equitable nature access\, and participants in our programs can expect or request the following accommodations: \n\nPaved\, flat trails\nInstructors with voice amplifiers\nAssistive listening devices (ALDs) for indoor programs\nAmerican Sign Language Interpreters\, with ten (10) days’ notice\nKultureCity sensory bags\nWe welcome working\, trained service animals as described by the ADA\n\nWe may be able to provide additional\, reasonable accommodations not listed here; please contact us at registrations@dukefarms.org. \n\n\nProgram Guidelines\nRegistration is required.
