SUMMARY:An Evening Chat with Bats
DESCRIPTION:Join a nighttime walk with bats to observe them\, listen to their calls\, and appreciate the roles they perform!\n\n\nBats are often misunderstood as pests or carrying diseases\, but despite their scary reputation they serve important roles such as pollinators or insect predators. Here at Duke Farms\, we can observe bats in the wild—and even get to listen to their calls! This nighttime walk will showcase some local bat species seen on campus\, as well as how they communicate with echolocation using bioacoustics technology. \n(Photo Credit: Maximilian Ruther\, 2019) \n\n\nProgram Guidelines\nDid you know members receive 10% off all programs? Please let us know if you are no longer able to attend so your space can be offered to someone else.
