DESCRIPTION:Spot Northern Harriers\, Short-eared Owls & other winter grassland birds at Duke Farms.\n\n\nIn this guided exploration of the western grasslands of Duke Farms\, you will have the opportunity to see a few remarkable and threatened birds like Northern Harriers gliding low over the fields and Short-eared Owls hunting at dusk. Learn how these species adapt to open landscapes and what conservation efforts support their survival. Binoculars are provided\, if needed.  \n\n\nProgram Guidelines\nThis is a member exclusive program. To learn more and become a member\, visit dukefarms.org/membership. \nAll programs begin at the Farm Barn Orientation Center unless otherwise noted. \nRegistration is required. Please let us know if you are no longer able to attend so your space can be offered to someone else. \nPrograms at Duke Farms are held rain or shine\, but in the event of severe or impeditive weather\, classes may be canceled.
