DESCRIPTION:Build it and they will come\, stewardship edition\n\n\nJoin an up with the birds walk through a forest habitat at Duke Farms\, Research Woods\, to learn about restoration efforts that have supported our bird of the month\, the Wood Thrush! We will also be birding for other species that rely on healthy forests ecosystems for habitat. Thanks to these restoration efforts many bird species utilize this habitat for nesting sites and food sources. Learn about how vital these ecosystems are to bird populations\, why restoration is important and how Duke Farms did it! Participants will also learn basic birding skills such as using binoculars\, field guides\, and community science apps like eBird and Merlin. \n\n\nProgram Guidelines\nRegistration is required.
