A Red, White, and Blue-filled Plate

6/29/2020 | Activities

This resource was a collaborative effort on behalf of the Duke Farms Education team.

Download the activity sheet PDF here.

This activity is the first of a 5-part resource featuring New Jersey native plants and animals in a spectacular array of red, white, and blue hues. This resource has a focus on fresh produce.

The summer season is upon us and it is finally time for BBQs and backyard picnics. Fresh New Jersey produce is the heart and soul of our outdoor gatherings, whether it was proudly grown in your own garden, or confidently purchased from a local farmer. Food brings people together, especially those perfectly plump local blueberries and strawberries, sweet corn, and juicy tomatoes. Can you match the fruit to its facts? Give it a try!
