Check Out Our Eagle Cam
With a storied past supporting New Jersey’s agricultural and industrial development, the Raritan has grappled with the pressures of pollution, storm runoff, flooding, and habitat loss, intensified by climate change.
The bike tour will begin at the Farm Barn Orientation Center, winding through the core of Duke Farms, and continuing onto the Raritan River Greenway multi-use path. By biking, we’ll pay close attention to the details, textures, and connections of the landscape that would otherwise go unnoticed. Along the way, we’ll share insights from our restoration work in dam removal and floodplain reforestation, offering visions for fostering a climate-resilient Raritan, and exploring what it means to belong to a watershed.
You can bring your own bike or rent one of ours. Helmets are required and will be provided to those who are renting bikes from Duke Farms.
If you are borrowing one of our bikes, will be emailed a bike liability waiver a few days before the event.
