Growing Great Garlic

Join Community Garden and Programs Coordinator Justine Gray talking about her favorite subject- garlic. We will cover everything from seed to storage! Learn what to look for in seed garlic, how to properly handle, growing conditions, disease and pests and how to harvest. After 1 hour of discussion, we will head to the garden to plant a bed of it because there is no better way to learn than by doing when it comes to gardening!

You can opt out of the walking and planting part- it does involve a short walk on a gravel path.

Program Guidelines

Registration is required. Please let us know if you are no longer able to attend so your space can be offered to someone else. Cancellations received at least 48 hours in advance are eligible for a refund, if applicable. Programs at Duke Farms are RAIN or SHINE, but in the event of severe weather, classes may be canceled. Email notice will be given as early as possible via email, and refunds will be issued in the case of cancellations.
