Nature Positive Carbon Negative
This September, Duke Farms is proud to host New Jersey Climate Week, bringing together land stewards, innovators, and changemakers for a week of meaningful dialogue, hands-on learning, and collective action.
Guided by the theme Nature Positive, Carbon Negative, our programming highlights the essential role of nature in climate solutions—from regenerative land management and biodiversity protection to renewable energy and sustainable food systems.
Through panels, field experiences, and curated gatherings, we’ll explore how rooted, place-based action can support climate resilience while enhancing the health of ecosystems and communities across New Jersey and beyond.
This interactive event will connect hands-on users of equipment with manufacturers of electric vehicles and battery-powered equipment to test drive and experience what they can do first-hand. The event will be an open-house format where attendees can come by during the day and meet with representatives from the manufacturer to ask questions about the gear and test it out firsthand. Attendees will range from Municipal and County Departments of Public Works workers to conservationists and land stewards from across New Jersey.
Clean energy adoption has been growing —from community solar to utility-scale storage—but the path ahead is anything but smooth. Federal support is faltering, market uncertainty is growing, and climate impacts are no longer abstract. Against this backdrop, a critical question emerges: How do we sustain momentum for a decarbonized energy future?
At a time when national action is uncertain, the future of clean energy will increasingly be shaped by local leadership—in states, counties, campuses, businesses, and communities willing to act. What does that leadership look like? How do we match ambition with implementation? And how do we move from vision to reality in ways that are equitable, resilient, and rooted in place? .
Join us at Duke Farms for an evening of connection, inspiration, and collective visioning during New Jersey Climate Week 2025. Rooted in Resilience is a welcoming reception that brings together partners, peers, and community members working across land, energy, infrastructure, access, and equity to build a more resilient, biodiverse, and just New Jersey.
This informal, nonpartisan gathering centers around relationship-building and shared purpose, with brief lightning presentations from changemakers across the state—followed by local food, drinks, music, and continued conversation under the open sky.
This NJ Climate Week round-table will examine the present condition of the Raritan River and introduce the Headwaters to Bay Initiative. Designed as an informal forum, it will bring together community groups, government agencies, researchers, and conservation practitioners to exchange observations, share practical experience, and identify opportunities for collaboration. By pooling insights, participants will help outline an inclusive path toward a healthier and more resilient Raritan watershed.
Don’t miss your chance to join us for New Jersey Climate Week at Duke Farms - a week of ideas, inspiration, and connection. Sign up now to be the first to hear when registration opens!
