Monarch & Meadow Month: Pollination

Pollination - it's a word everyone knows, but how well do you know the pollination process? What happens with the birds and the bees and how does it impact your life? Pollination is how plants reproduce. And without it, we would have way less food on our plates. Did you know that one in three bites of food is available only because of cross-pollination by pollinators? In this resource, we'll get down to the fine details on the process of pollination and what a world without it looks like.

The monarch butterfly is certainly one of the featured creatures, but as the month unfolds, you will soon discover through activities, lesson plans, videos, book links, and creative resources, much more about why our meadows need to be maintained and preserved.
