Sustainability September will highlight how Duke Farms serves as a model of environmental stewardship and ways that you can infuse practices in your home, community, and workplace that encourage a cleaner greener life for generations to come while also combating climate change.

What is a bioswale and how does it benefit the environment? Bioswales are channels that are dug out and then filled with vegetation - this filters runoff and redirects it back into the watershed to recharge groundwater. We have bioswales on the property... you might have seen them on your last visit here if you came by car because they're in the parking lots!  Learn more about bioswales through this resource and activity.
