Sustainability September: Green Transportation

Sustainability September will highlight how Duke Farms serves as a model of environmental stewardship and ways that you can infuse practices in your home, community, and workplace that encourage a cleaner greener life for generations to come while also combating climate change.

Perhaps one of the biggest personal choices that can impact a person's carbon footprint is their choice of vehicle. If you have ever explored Duke Farms, you might have noticed the different transportation methods staff use to get around the 18 miles of trails - driving fully electric vehicles (EVs) is a great way to navigate the site to tend to daily duties while cutting down on emissions on the property. In this resource, learners will understand the differences between gas, hybrid, and electric vehicles and how they compare in terms of emissions and sustainability.
