About This Event

Join Seasonal Educator Toni to learn about iNaturalist, how to use it, and its importance as a community science tool!

This is an interactive beginner’s guide to using iNaturalist as a Community Science tool!

Although professional scientists can practice “true” science, ordinary people like us can still learn about the environment and gather important information for scientific study. This idea of “community science” has been embodied in tools such as iNaturalist, an app that anyone can use to identify wildlife and contribute data for public use. Join us to learn the basics of community science and iNaturalist, as well as how to use it on your own when out in nature. Afterwards, you’ll be a natural at exploring like a real scientist!

We will be meeting first at the Farm Barn Orientation Center Classroom before departing for our program! We will cover about 1 mile.
