Doris Duke played a pivotal role in the development of what is now known as the Meditation Garden at Duke Farms influenced by her extensive travels around the world.  

The Meditation Garden at Duke Farms provides a serene environment for reflection and appreciation of nature, embodying our commitment to environmental stewardship and cultural heritage.​

The Meditation Garden at Duke Farms offers visitors a tranquil retreat inspired by traditional Japanese garden design.  Today, the Mediation Garden displays unique species of trees and plants and can be easily accessed through connecting trails from Raritan. 

Where to Find the Meditation Garden at Duke Farms

The Meditation Garden is located across the Arboretum and in close proximity to the Raritan Gate and Greenway.
