April Ambling: The Eagle Nest via the Duke Farms Eagle Cam

4/26/2021 | Activities

This resource was created by Abigail Schmid and Kate Reilly.

Download the full PDF here.

April is the perfect month to revisit your favorite locations on the Duke Farms property and to discover some new special spots as well. Whether your “amble” is more of a saunter, jog, ramble, hike, or bike ride, remember to make some green memories of your own.

With 18 miles of trails, there is something for everyone at Duke Farms.

"At some point in life, the world's beauty becomes enough.
You don't need to photograph, paint, or even remember it. It is enough.” -
Toni Morrison

Duke Farms is lucky enough to have a pair of bald eagles nesting on our 2,700-acre property. While the eagle nest is not accessible to the public, the camera that was installed above the nest helps us learn all about what goes on there. That live feed can be viewed here. The installation of this camera allows us to observe the behaviors of bald eagles, how they survive, and how they raise their offspring.
