Chemistry is the study of matter and change - chemists research and experiment with different substances. This way, the world can better understand how substances change in diverse environments. Specifically, a textile chemist works with fibers and various materials to understand changes and reactions under distinct conditions. This includes dyeing and finishing chemistry, fiber, polymer chemistry, and blending of textile materials.
